Six months ago, after working full-time at a desk job for two years, I decided that I needed a change. I wanted to take a break from working and do a TESOL course. The plan was (and still is) to go overseas and teach English. During this time, I had family over from Australia and wanted to shower my niece and nephew with handmade gifts because I had the time and because I could… Long story short, I ended up procrastinating a lot from doing my course.
With all this time on my hands, on break… I crafted up a storm. Family and friends around me suggested that I start selling my crafts.. so off on a new tangent I went. I told myself that this was just a side project to keep me busy while I did my course. I immersed myself in starting up my business. I designed a logo, made business cards, ordered labels and created a shop on Etsy, and Facebook.
I thank all my family and friends that have encouraged me. I am happy for what I have accomplished and ready to move on.. Crafting will always be a part of what I do.
